Everglow is built to be a private place to think. Your journal lives on your device, and nothing leaves it unless you explicitly turn on a feature that requires it. Everglow 旨在成为一个属于你的私密思考空间。你的日记存储在你的设备上，除非你主动开启某项需要联网的功能，否则任何内容都不会离开设备。
Nothing, by default. For the core app, Everglow has no backend operated by us; we do not have accounts, and we never receive your journal content, usage data, device identifiers, or personal information. The one exception is the optional Everglow Cloud subscription (below): when you use it, the content of a request passes through Everglow's hosted service to generate your reply and is not retained after the request completes. 默认不收集任何信息。就核心应用而言，Everglow 没有由我们运营的后端服务；我们没有账户体系，也绝不会获取你的日记内容、使用数据、设备标识或个人信息。唯一的例外是可选的 Everglow 云端订阅（见下文）：当你使用它时，请求所含的内容会经由 Everglow 的托管服务处理以生成回复，并在请求完成后不予保留。

Any API keys you enter are stored securely in the device Keychain. If you set an app-lock password, only a one-way hash of it is stored — never the password itself. 你输入的任何 API 密钥都会安全地保存在设备的钥匙串（Keychain）中。如果你设置了应用锁密码，仅会保存其单向哈希值，绝不会保存密码本身。
By default, Everglow's AI features are powered by a language model that runs entirely on your device. Your entries and chats are processed locally and are not transmitted anywhere for this to work. 默认情况下，Everglow 的 AI 功能由一个完全在你设备上运行的语言模型驱动。你的日记和对话均在本地处理，无需将其传输到任何地方即可工作。
If you prefer, you can connect Everglow to a third-party AI provider — such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google (Gemini), or DeepSeek — by entering your own API key. When you enable a remote provider, the journal or chat content needed to fulfill your request is sent directly from your device to that provider for processing. That data is then handled under that provider's privacy policy and terms, not ours. We are not an intermediary and do not see this traffic. You can switch back to the on-device model at any time. 当你启用某个远程服务时，为完成你的请求所需的日记或对话内容，会直接从你的设备发送给该服务商进行处理。这些数据随后将依据该服务商的隐私政策和条款处理，而非我们的。我们不是中间方，也无法看到这些流量。你可以随时切换回设备端模型。
You can optionally subscribe to Everglow Cloud, a hosted AI option operated by Everglow. Unlike the on-device model and unlike bringing your own key, this routes through Everglow's own servers. When it is your chosen engine, the journal or chat content needed for your request is sent — encrypted in transit — to Everglow's servers, which process it using OpenAI as our sub-processor to generate your reply. Everglow retains no content after the request completes and never uses your writing to train any model. Once your content reaches OpenAI, it is also handled under OpenAI's own privacy policy. You may turn on iCloud backup to protect your journal and move it between your own devices. When enabled, Everglow bundles your data into a single encrypted snapshot stored in your private iCloud (CloudKit) account. This data lives in your own Apple iCloud storage under Apple's privacy terms; we have no access to it. Disabling backup and deleting the snapshot removes it from iCloud. 你可以开启 iCloud 备份，以保护日记并在自己的设备之间迁移。开启后，Everglow 会将你的数据打包成一份加密快照，存入你的私人 iCloud（CloudKit）账户。这些数据存放在你自己的 Apple iCloud 存储中，受 Apple 隐私条款约束；我们无权访问。关闭备份并删除该快照即可将其从 iCloud 中移除。
Everglow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because no data is collected by us, the app does not gather personal information from any user. Everglow 并非面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们也不会有意收集他们的信息。由于我们不收集任何数据，本应用不会从任何用户处采集个人信息。
If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app where appropriate. 如果我们更改了应用处理数据的方式，会更新本页面并修订上方的日期。重大变更将在应用内适当位置予以体现。
